Instructional Applications of Technology

The design, development, and evaluation of digital learning experiences for the purpose of facilitating digital-age learning are the main foci. Candidates use software applications and digital media production tools to design and develop authentic learning experiences that promote innovative thinking, creativity, integrative assessment for learning, and self-assessment. Developing personalized technology-related professional development plans for review and reflection will provide a basis for growing professionally in an increasingly digital world. Topics include instructional design, visual literacy, computer-based instruction, and assessment/evaluation for individualized and collaborative learning environments. Discussion forum topics focus on ways to enhance and enrich professional practice by participating in shared decision-making and community building of curricula.
